The Main Street Mural Project is a community-driven initiative led by Go Goshen to bring vibrant, high-quality public art to downtown Torrington. By transforming blank walls into meaningful works of art, this project aims to reflect the character, history, and pride of our community while creating a more welcoming and engaging downtown experience.
Through partnerships with local businesses, artists, and community members, the project supports creativity while strengthening the economic and cultural vitality of Main Street. Each mural is thoughtfully selected through a guided process, informed by Go Goshen’s public art plan, to ensure a cohesive and lasting impact.
Murals are designed to stand the test of time—often lasting 10 years or more—making this not just a short-term project, but a long-term investment in the look, feel, and energy of downtown Torrington.
