Elk Eco Cycle is a non-profit recycling center that serves Torrington, Goshen County, and surrounding Wyoming areas. Self-serve depositories are available for pre-sorted aluminum cans, clean steel cans, and cardboard.

Accepted Items (Must Be Pre-Sorted):

  • Aluminum cans
  • Brown paper
  • Cardboard (broken down and flattened)
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines
  • Newsprint
  • Steel cans (must be rinsed and very clean)
  • White office paper

Loose paper products must be delivered during business hours, usually 8-10AM M-F. Blue dumpsters for cardboard are located at select businesses throughout Torrington.

Items NOT Accepted:

  • Co-mingled or contaminated products
  • Glass (future)
  • Milk cartons
  • Plastic containers of any type
  • Shredded paper
  • Waxed cardboard

Donations

Small cash donations can be deposited at the recycling center; larger donations that need a receipt should be delivered to Platte Valley Bank, with checks made out to “The Community Pride Foundation” with a memo line of Elk Eco-Cycle.
