Election day is a month away!

On November 8th, you have an opportunity to vote “YES” to continue the ¼ penny sales tax for economic development.

Thanks to ¼ penny sales tax funds—just 1/400th of a dollar!—we’ve been able to:

  • Assist local businesses with start-up, expansion, and relocation
  • Fund community enhancement and infrastructure projects
  • Host community-building annual events like 3rd Thursdays and the Goshen County Fair Parade

While we wait for election day, you can show your support for continuing the tax in two easy ways:

1. Stop by our office to pick up a free yard sign.

Let your neighbors know that you support continuing the ¼ penny! We’re here (110 W. 22nd Ave. in Torrington) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m to 4 p.m., and we’d love to see you.

2. Tell your friends, family, and neighbors why you support the ¼ penny.

It’s important that your fellow voters know and understand its impact on our community. Here are some great resources you can share, all with specific examples of local projects that the ¼ penny made possible:

  • How Goshen Economic Development Encourages Business Growth
  • How Goshen Economic Development Creates Jobs
  • Goshen Economic Development : What We’ve Accomplished Together
  • Working Together to Take Care of Each Other

It not only makes sense for Goshen County; it actually makes cents (and dollars) for Goshen County businesses, municipalities, and nonprofits, too.
