TORRINGTON, WY — Go Goshen is pleased to announce that Northern Feed & Bean has been awarded $15,600 through the Progress Program Capital Matching Grant to support improvements to the water and sewer infrastructure at the company’s Torrington facility.
Northern Feed & Bean, established in 1952, operates its local facility at 364 East First Avenue in Torrington. The company works with area agricultural producers by offering certified bean seed and crop-contracting opportunities. The infrastructure project extends water and sewer services to the facility, supporting improved operations, future growth and compliance with health and environmental standards.
The project also carries a meaningful workforce and community story. The improvements helped establish Northern Feed & Bean’s Torrington office and created the opportunity for Brett Spencer, a Goshen County native, to continue building his career in the community where he wanted to raise his family.
“This project represents more than an infrastructure improvement—it is an investment in keeping local talent in Goshen County,” said Chamber Director Moriah Harkins. “It was meaningful to hear Brett’s story and learn how strongly he wanted to build his career here, raise his family here and remain connected to the community where he grew up. These improvements helped establish Northern Feed & Bean’s Torrington office and created an opportunity for a Goshen County native to stay, work and raise his family in the place he is proud to call home.”
The infrastructure improvements are expected to help increase production capacity, improve waste management and water efficiency, and strengthen the Torrington operation’s ability to serve local growers and the regional agricultural economy.
