TORRINGTON, WY – A new scoreboard has officially been installed at Dean Bullock Field, providing an upgraded experience for players, families, and fans supporting Tigers Legion Baseball and the Goshen County community.

The project was made possible through a collaborative community effort involving local supporters, businesses, and community partners. Go Goshen’s Progress Program Grant contributed $12,500 toward the project, while the Goshen County Recreation Board provided $15,000 in funding support. Allen & Company donated the time and equipment needed to remove and install the new scoreboard, completing the work in just a few days. Platte Valley Bank has also been a longtime supporter and sponsor of American Legion Baseball.

Players involved with the project shared that the new scoreboard represents more than just an improvement to the field; it reflects the strength of the Goshen County community coming together to support local youth.

“Yeah, this is actually great because I mean it just showed us how much the community, like the Goshen community, just all comes together for the Goshen kids,” said Drew Kramer, a Tigers Legion Baseball player. “It’s one of the only sports that we have where the entire community is on the same team. With Shawn Allen putting it all up in four days — that’s insane. We all came together and kind of did it together. It’s a great community effort. It just showed how much Goshen can do when everyone works together.”

Ashley Curry, Fundraising Coordinator for Tigers Legion Baseball, said the project came together through widespread local support and partnership.

“This community continues to impress me,” said Ashley Curry. “When I began gathering support for this project, I knew securing the funds to replace the scoreboard at Bullock Field would be a challenge. At the recommendation of others, I reached out to Go Goshen’s Progress Program, which guided me through the process and ultimately provided the remaining funds needed to complete the scoreboard project. We are also grateful to the Goshen County Recreation Board, Allen & Company, and Platte Valley Bank for their generous support. This project would not have been possible without their contributions.”
