In Goshen County, you’ll find a special kind of spark; one with the power to light up an entire community.
As your economic development team, we’re here to nurture that spark—from pairing you with the right business finance program or local grant to grow your business, to connecting you with resources like the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program to bring a new project to life.
A role we value even more, however, is that of being your neighbor; one you can always count on to encourage your progress and celebrate your success.
Today, we’re excited to celebrate our neighbors at Old Moose Coffee & Events, who’ve grown to become a hub for connection (and great coffee) right here in Torrington.

Straight from owner Danny Brewer, here’s what it’s been like to grow a small business in Torrington, Wyoming—and which resources have benefitted him most along the way:
We can’t say enough about the incredible support we’ve received from Go Goshen. From the very beginning, when Old Moose Coffee & Events was just an idea taking shape, their team has been in our corner, amplifying our vision and helping turn our dreams into reality.
When we first opened our doors, Go Goshen stepped in to help us promote our launch, spreading the word through their community networks and making sure locals knew there was a new gathering space in town. That early visibility was priceless and gave us the momentum we needed to find our footing.
Later, when we began envisioning a live concert space where we could host live music—something that would bring even more life and culture into downtown Torrington—Go Goshen once again showed up in a big way. Through their guidance and support, we secured grant funding that allowed us to purchase a professional stage, sound system, and lighting setup. This investment not only elevated our events, but also positioned The Old Moose as a venue capable of hosting regional talent and drawing audiences from across the county.
Perhaps what’s meant the most, though, is the ongoing encouragement. Every small business hits roadblocks and moments of doubt, but knowing that Go Goshen is genuinely cheering us on—and rooting for the success of all local entrepreneurs—has made a lasting impact.
Their commitment to helping small businesses thrive is more than just words; it’s woven into action, opportunity, and a sense of shared pride in what makes Goshen County special.
As a small business rooted in connection, creativity, and community, we feel incredibly fortunate to grow in a state that truly supports independent entrepreneurs.
Wyoming’s business-friendly climate, including no state income tax and affordable operating costs, has made it possible for us to pour more into what matters: Creating a warm, welcoming space for people to gather, celebrate, and feel inspired. We’re especially grateful for Wyoming’s strong support of rural businesses and its deep spirit of neighborliness and resilience.
In a place known for wide-open skies and bold individuality, we’ve found the freedom to build something unique; a place where coffee meets community, and every event becomes a story worth sharing. From the rich traditions of the West to the innovative drive of modern entrepreneurship, Wyoming gives small businesses like ours room to grow—and for that, we’re truly thankful.

It’s truly an honor to be part of helping our neighbors reach their goals, and we’ve loved watching Danny and his team continue to grow and succeed.
No matter where you are in your business journey, you can count on us to ensure the unique spark you bring to Goshen County continues to glow—and has opportunities to get even brighter—every year.
